Animal Science: Beavers’ New Home

It’s spring and it’s time for the older beaver children to move out and make their own lodge. First they will have to build a dam – fortunately their parents will teach them what to do. Along the way, the beavers will learn about gravity, friction and water pressure – as well as the wetland habitat they call home.

Animal Science is a gentle non-fiction nature picture book series for age 5+ that uses innate animal behaviour to simply explain key science topics.
